2. The essentials

3. Hosting and server log files

When you open this website, the hosting provider automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (so-called server log files). This usually includes:

Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably). The log data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted according to the hosting provider's rules.

Hosting provider: [ADD HOSTING PROVIDER AND ADDRESS – conclude a data processing agreement if required]

4. Contact by email

If you write to me by email, your details (email address, content of the message) are processed in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (handling your enquiry) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply. Please do not send me sensitive health data by email.

5. Links to app stores

This website links to the offerings of Google Play (Google Ireland Ltd.) and the Apple App Store (Apple Inc.). Only once you follow such a link does the respective provider process your data under its own responsibility; its privacy terms then apply.

6. Privacy in the Kidni app

The Kidni app works without an account and without registration; health data stays local on the device. Details – for example on advertising in the free version and on Kidni Pro purchases – are covered by the app's own privacy policy, linked in the app under “More”.

7. Your rights

In relation to the controller you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the competent one here is, for example, the Independent Data Protection Centre of Saarland.
